About NASA SEWP VI
NASA SEWP (pronounced "soup") provides the latest Information Technology, Communication, and Audio-Visual (ITC/AV) solutions and services for all federal agencies and their approved contractors. Created in 1993, SEWP I was the first Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) in the federal acquisition space. Over more than 30 years, SEWP has continually expanded its scope to meet customer needs, representing acquisition innovation within the federal government. The program is self-funded through a 0.34% usage fee and supports more than 50,000 orders per year across all federal agencies.

Fair Opportunity — FAR 16.505(b)
NASA SEWP VI is a multiple-award Government-Wide Acquisition Contract. FAR 16.505(b)(1) provides that each contractor shall be given a fair opportunity to be considered for each order exceeding $10,000 issued under multiple-award contracts. The method used to obtain fair opportunity is at the discretion of the ordering Contracting Officer, who must document the rationale for placement and price of each order. The SEWP online Quote Request Tool (QRT) is the recommended method to support this activity, automatically including Contract Holders within a selected group or based on a suggested source.
How Ordering Works
Each agency's internal ordering process varies, and Purchase Requests and Delivery Orders are issued by your agency's procurement office — not the SEWP PMO. The typical flow: an end-user defines a requirement and generates a Purchase Request; the agency procurement office issues a Delivery Order against contract 80TECH26D2083; the SEWP Program Management Office reviews, processes, and forwards the order to DT-Trak for fulfillment. Order modifications also route through the SEWP PMO. Full step-by-step details are in our Ordering Guide.
